Thorpeness Golf Course
Regarded as one of the finest in Suffolk, Thorpeness is a classic British heathland golf course designed by five-time Open Champion and legendary golf course architect, James Braid.

The Par 70, 18-hole golf course is just a stones throw from the sea on the Suffolk coast and its challenging 6,421 yards will test golfers of all abilities. Overlooked by Suffolk’s famous ‘House in the Clouds’, guests of the 36-bedroom hotel can travel from their room to the first tee in under 60 seconds, and later enjoy fine food and warm hospitality in the Tee-View Restaurant. The club itself is a great place to learn, with PGA Professionals Frank Hill and Christopher Oldrey on call to help golfers of all abilities, from new starters to scratch golfers.

Open on average for 360 days of the year, Thorpeness Hotel and Golf Club is an ideal stay-and-play golf destination for year-round golf breaks and also caters for group golf and golf society days.
