Sutton Hoo is home to one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time, and a must-do when visiting the area.
Located in Woodbridge, a short distance from the coast and around 14 miles from Aldeburgh, the world famous Anglo-Saxon burial site and visitor centre welcomes families all year round with exhibitions showcasing priceless treasures and artefacts.
Visitors to the site are free to walk around the ancient burial mounds, and discover the incredible story of the ship burial of an Anglo-Saxon king and his treasured possessions. Plus there are opportunities to come face to face with our ancestors and explore the full-size reconstruction of the burial chamber, stunning replica treasures and original finds from one of the mounds, including a prince's sword.
