Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and surrounding area
for all the latest news and offers
If you have tired yourself out from a day of trekking around the great Suffolk coastline, sit back, relax and catch a movie at Aldeburgh’s beautifully quaint, historic cinema.
Situated at the back of a 19th century high street store, Aldeburgh Cinema has been screening films since 1919 with many of its original features including magnificent art deco lights still in place to day. Screening a mix of indie and blockbuster movies, the cinema caters for a wide range of interests with something for everyone.
Over the years, National Lottery grants have enabled significant refurbishment to the foyer and auditorium seating, with its recognition as a community enterprise legally reflected by the Registered Charity status granted to the establishment in early 2003. A must-see for lovers of the arts and film.
